Well I, for one, also suffer from music-in-public-induced-anger (I always assumed this was the default position of anyone with any couth...my family's exasperated eye-rolls at my profanity-ridden tirades whenever I unwillingly hear a Taylor Swift song has disabused me of this)...perhaps there should be some kind of support group...

I'm surprised by the reaction. I assumed my distaste for nonconsentual public music was fairly uncontroversial. It lowers our collective bar. And I don't like wearing earbuds in public. You gotta be aware on these mean streets.

This made me start thinking of alternatives. I think it might be kind of cool if grocery stores had the ambient noise of the starship Enterprise, or elevators were like the insides of a B-17 in flight, engines beneath radio chatter.

I am surprised, but I guess I shouldn’t be, that someone had a problem with this. I appreciate the connection to AR audio...

Living in Texas we have to put up with country western blather in certain situations that’s completely unbearable and makes you wonder why you patronize such an establishment. Ultimately that’s all you can do- leave and not go back.
